Strategy & Financial Analysis Expert
Alejandra is an expert in reviewing and formulating market, corporate or general financial analysis (financial modelling, analysis of financial statements, risk and return modelling for investment solutions and portfolio management purposes). Alejandra has 7 years of experience in investment and corporate finance and an immense entrepreneurial exposure, collaborating in several start-up efforts in the realm of finance and social enterprise.
Since joining PHB in 2014, Alejandra has been involved in analyzing the financial viability of financial inclusion projects in Africa, collaborating in developing funding strategies for clients, and reviewing client global strategies against their regional and country objectives.
She worked for Barclays Capital in New York in the structured derivatives team covering US and Latin American Institutional clients, and in a start-up JV effort with Auriga securities developing the corporate and structured finance team in Madrid. Most recently in London, her focus has been consulting for start-up and early-stage companies ( mainly social enterprises) in the areas of business start-up, performance improvement, financial viability, organizational development, fundraising, as well as mentoring and interim management roles.
Her managerial experience covers the realms of business strategy and plan design (mainly early stage, start-up or distressed), implementation and execution, performance improvement and optimizing organizational structures.
Alejandra is also the vice chair and board member of The Wonder Foundation in London, UK (focused on women, promoting exiting property through education and social enterprise solutions). She advises the foundation on its strategy, early-stage development of projects and financial viability.
Alejandra’s education includes an MBA from IESE University in Barcelona and a Finance Degree from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. She is fluent in Spanish and English and proficient in French.
